• medium gnarly (2023), swiss army wife: if the words "midwest emo" mean anything to you, you already know what you're getting into here. a solid debut! nothing groundbreaking but an entertaining listen nevertheless
• mr. morale and the big steppers (2022), kendrick lamar: i was pretty lukewarm on this album the first few times i heard it, but after letting it simmer for a few months i felt i was ready to give it another go, and damn. it's really good. it's a very meaty album and i have enough to say about it to justify its own post eventually, so watch this space. • xo (2009), leathermouth: i wish it wasn't this way but 14 years on this ornery edgelord album is just as relevant as ever. murdered fascists make no noise!!! i'd shed your blood to save the fucking world!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAVORITE TRACK: i am going to kill the president of the united states of america
